The "C" Word

Someone once said, "Too often, we get so focused on the finish line that we fail to find joy in the journey." This is Brynn's journey. You are invited to share in her fear and faith as she ventures into unfamiliar territory. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers and support for Brynn and her family. This is OUR journey. As we work together and pray together, may we truly find joy along the way.

Chemo Week 1

No one sugar-coated it for me, so I wont sugar-coat it for you. Chemo sucks. It's boring, painful, and nauseating. All of these are reasons that I haven't posted in a while. On Monday I threw up four times and then did the same on Tuesday. Wednesday got a bit better, but I still threw up. I haven't been to school all week due to my loss of appetite leading to a major loss of energy. I have started to eat more and more each day , but I still don't eat that much. I kinda have to force myself to, and you wouldn't think of this as hard until you've tried it. I also have to get shots for ten days that will boost my bone marrow. My dad has to give me these shots and I'm kinda glad of that because these shots hurt like crazy. When the needle goes in I can feel it, but that's the least of it. My leg feels hot all twisted up inside when I get the shot, so naturally I hate getting these shots. I still have to get them though. I really appreciate all the great gifts and prayers. They help me when I'm feeling blue and would just like to thank you for that. Thank you for checking in again and I'm sorry for the spotty attendance in blogging, but I'll try my best to keep you guys updated. Thanks and bye for now!

  1. I'm sorry you have to go through that. It doesn't sound like any fun. Good luck. What can you do during chemo for entertainment? Do you need some good books?

  2. Oh my golly goodness! So sorry you have to go thru this. But you are a tough kid. After all, you have practiced holding your own with all those brothers around. Ha Ha. We love you, sweet thing. Our continued prayers are with you and your family.
